Hey ladies,

Does anyone else have a wedding date of August 1st?! My fiancé and I are here in FL and he thinks we will be fine because things are opening back up here in FL. I on the other hand is still very nervous but my venue is fully paid for and there and saying we are still on sooooo...... what are you ladies doing?

Hey girl! We are July 25th in Arkansas where things are slowly opening back up. Spoke with our venue today for the first time in weeks to get an update...he said they’ll be “operating under the new normal” come late June. Right now, our state is allowed a gathering of 50 people WITH masks. I, for one, do not want to host a wedding with masks so we’re discussing picking a backup date if things don’t get any better.

Texas is allowing weddings again within 25% of the venue's capacity, so we're going ahead with our August 15th wedding unless the venue cancels on us. They said they think their weddings will be up by the end of June as well, within Texas guidelines. So far they only rescheduled huge weddings of 300+. We're feeling pretty positive, though some days I'm anxious we'll end up postponing again. It feels like we're so close again.

Awesome, I’m so glad to hear that and yes by August I’m sure we will be in our phase 3 here in FL. Our restaurants and malls are opened back up so keeping our fingers cross!

Hey there!!! I’m an August 1, 2020 bride and I live in Atlanta Ga... where everything is open. So we totally have changed the scope of the wedding and we went from 200 ppl, all the bells and whistles to just our parents. We are getting married at my folks house and doing a zoom for my nana and planning a parade drive by of our friends and wedding party. It became to many what ifs for me and we just want to get married and plan on celebrating later. I felt so relieved once we decided to go this route. I hope you keep your date and decide on the best way to celebrate!!!

We’re in IL and decided to postpone to next year. There’s just too big of a risk if we continued to have our wedding. A lot of our guests were already expecting us to postpone or not planning on attending which is understandable.

No actually we canceled the venue and they were very understanding and gave us our deposit back. I kept my photographer she’s going to come to the house to take pictures of our ceremony and then we’re doing another session with her all dressed up in our full wedding outfits... just me and the FH... very over the top photo shoot.. (I want great pictures) we are still doing all the ceremony stuff (unity sand which will be made into a glass statue, vows, cake) Our family and friends has been super understanding. I figure save the money and celebrate later... there will be so many things to celebrate in the future that we are totally good with it.

I'm July 25th in Milwaukee and our venue finally reached out to let us know that we can choose a Plan B. I had been cautiously optimistic that we could do a wedding as originally planned, but as we keep going I was wondering what a wedding would even look like in July. We have no precedent as weddings aren't even going on as we once knew them to be. Would people be afraid to hug? Dance? Visit? We will pick a Plan B and I am not sure if we are ready to pull the plug yet, but the more I think about it the more I am coming around to the idea. It just sucks and I feel for all of us going through this - not the way it was supposed to be. Smiley sad

We are August 22 in Ohio. Things are starting to reopen and I am hopeful. The venue will not cancel unless strict social distancing guidelines are still in place on our date ❤️ At this point, I am prepared to cut the guest list or do whatever we have to do. I’m ready to get married and move on with my life!

August 1st wedding here. We pushed back from June 6th. I’m in southern Indiana. We are planning to have our original guest list with 380 people invited. Everything is opening up now. We could spike and have another shut down. We realize there will be many older people that will not come and we’re so fine with that. But we’re going to let our guests decide themselves and make it clear that we don’t want them to come if they fee it’s dangerous. It’s just too much for me to go through again so we’re doing that way.

Yep! It would be completely devastating to watch your day go by thinking of everything it could have been. I would hate for you to miss out on that. Just let it be known there’s no pressure! I’m sure it will go smoothly and everyone will come out healthy on the other side 🙂

Our wedding is in August but it's July 19 and we are in Florida as well. Where we live it seems like much didn't change. People are out and about like normal. We're still having our wedding in July but just keeping it with family. Where are you all located?

I am a planner, and one of my brides moved her dat to August 1st. Everything seems to be going in a positive direction and we are on track for her to walk down the aisle on the first.
Good luck and well wishes 💜

I almost postponed to August 1, but decided to give it a little more time. Good luck! It's hard not to be hopeful when things are starting to open back up. Just so nerve wracking to not know if there's going to be a resurgence, new lock-downs, etc. I hope it works out!!

I’m June 13 and we had to cancel our venue and we are doing ours in a family friends yard on the lake with just family. I’m tired of worrying and stressing over wedding planning. 30 days and counting today I am so excited!

I am in central Florida, we rescheduled our may 1st wedding to aug.14th. I think we will be fine as long as there’s not another wave. If you look at the percent of positive tests it’s been pretty steady so that gives me hope. Our wedding is about 150 people, I could see it being less if people are worried about traveling.

Yes the second wave most likely won’t hit until it’s cold again. Viruses typically can’t live in heat and thankfully ours is in the summer time!
