Cover up for halter wedding dress

louise, on August 13, 2011 at 5:11 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3

Hello everyone!

I don't have a photo of my dress yet but its very similar to this w/o the belt and a bit more fitted http://www.discount-dress.com/aline-halter-chiffon-beading-wedding-dress-style-110140-g1655

I'm concerned I will be cold at both my ceremony and my reception - any ideas for a cover up? I'd love to have a bolero of some kind but I don't know if it will look funny with the halter neckline - a lot of the ones I have seen on etsy don't look like they will come up high enough on the neck.

Any ideas would be SO appreciated!

I have a halter dress too, and had the exact same problem. I'm going with a silk shawl with a lot of fabric because I think that looks best with this type of dress. I'm not sure if it's going to work for you though. My wedding is mid-October, and it shouldn't be very cold here. I hope it helps!

My BFF had a February wedding and also had a halter style dress. This is what she wore when she got cold:
