Couple Boudoir?

Kristin, on September 14, 2010 at 12:48 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 31

This might be crazy...

But aside from a typical bride-to-the-groom boudoir, I have been thinking about doing a sexy couples shoot. I mean, how often to you have hot photos of the two of you half naked?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/39087129@N06/3921615155/ This racy save the date made me think about how hot it would be for my FS to be sitting with our backs to a camera with nothing on but our tattoos.

Anyone ever hear of/thinking about/or have done couples boudoir?

Very high ick factor for me. I'd toss the STD & skip that wedding. But, hey, that's just me.

I also thought about this lastnight. Well, just for our room. Like pics of us, not fully nude.. but on top of each other, our legs tangled up, him covering my chest up, stuff like that.. But idk how to go about asking a photographer about it. haha

    VERY sexy Laura!

I'd love to do this. I have a hard enough time trying to convince my hubby of letting me do this to him.... I dont think he'd go for having it done.

I love the idea of the STD, I just wouldn't be down with sending that to my family.. but would love to have some for the house!!

Ya, Amanda, same here.. I know a few in our area but it's still something that doesn't happen much in a small town!! I'm always looked at as the crazy and nontraditional bride in my group of girlfriends when I mention stuff like this haha

I love Lauras pics! I really want to do it. I think were building a relationship with our photographer, shes 5 hours away in the town were getting married in. Were going oct 1-3rd to meet with her for engagemtn pics on the beach and then the wedding planner. Then again in Jan were going down to meet with the wedding planner, and me & her have been discussing doing a Boudoir shoot while FH is on a fishing trip.. then my bridal pics later in the spring.. maybe she'll be up for it. I don't think I could show my boobage like the lady did in the link you posted, but him covering me or something..

Hahahahaaaa, I can imagine his mother getting that in the mail! She's 74 and that might cause her to not make it to 75!!!

I'd love to have a session like that but not for save the dates. I love the thought of my future kids' faces when they find the album and we're long dead. LOL!! I'm so going to convince FH!

Kristin - same for me. I am the non traditional everything of my family. I don't care tho, it's me. You love it or hate it, for my family.. they suck it up because they love me.

My grandma (who I live with) "are you going to add lace to that for the wedding? me: "absolutely NOT."

her: "You going to cover your feet for pictures at the wedding" me: "Just for pics to give to you and Nana, otherwise no. I'm going to lift that dress and show all." her: "Lime green, turquiose, and brown for the wedding?!" me: "Its lemongrass, tiffany blue, and brown Gma" her:"I was thinking pink and red or yellow and brown"

Just ask your photographer. You're not going to offend them! It's somewhat common for maternity pictures to involve the couple, and some are done in a sensual manner.

Laura those pictures are beautiful! Did you have them taken by someone else? I was just curious because it said you did them and I couldn't figure out how you would have done it!

Thanks! I have a remote control for my camera Smiley smile so we have been able to do a lot of our own photos for engagement, boudoir, and now maternity. It's really tricky and takes a lot longer than if I was shooting someone else but it gets the job done. Luckily my DH is a great sport and will stand there while I set up lighting and positioning, then I jump in and click the remote control shutter.

Also talk with your photographer..you can sometimes combine a few boudoir type shots into a normal shoot. See my profile pic for an example..on the wedding day I figured there were only so many "getting ready" shots that I needed so we did a mini boudoir shoot on the wedding day and I loved them. You could do a normal engagement shoot then just throw in a few "naughtier" ones at the end of the shoot for your own collection
