Hello,

My FW and I are discussing the idea of kilts for the gentlemen in our wedding party. The local shop rents out the whole Bonnie Prince Charlie tuxedo with a kilt in the Black Watch tartan. We're a little concerned about what colors would go with this tartan. So, any brides or couples with experience in using that tartan and fitting a color scheme; we could use your help. Typically your kilt colors are based off your clan's colors. Are either of you of Scottish heritage? You can sometimes look up the clan's colors by your last name or city your family was from. You could also try to find kilt colors similar to your chosen color scheme but if they do not fall in earth tones or primary colors you'll have a harder time finding kilts that match.

Here's a couple of examples.

Just realized they are offering you a black, green, blue color. So as long as blue or green is incorporated in the wedding colors it should be fine. Avoid reds but any darker or metalic color would go fine with it.

Personally, I feel like navy, green and white/cream/ivory would be a fab color palette to complement and accompany the black watch tartan you've chosen.

Hi Timothy! I'm sorry that you felt like you would be laughed at by wearing a kilt. If you would be more comfortable in a suit, that's totally understandable.
What color suits do you think you will get? Will all the guys be wearing the same color, or would you like to stand out a bit from the groomsmen?
