I was just on another discussion board and see people are spending $ 500 -$700 for a DJ. Where are you located?? The cheapest I found is $1500 for 5 hours.

Our DJ will charge $1000 for the whole day or $100/hr. Sincd we arent using him for the ceremony or cocktail hour, we're opting for the hourly rate. It'll cost us $500-600 depending on what hours we decide on. We live in central Virginia.

Thanks! I’ll keep that in mind.
We got $200 off of our DJ since they were doing a bridal show special and that’s where found them. Our DJ ended up costing us $870 for ceremony and reception. We are located outside of ATL, GA
Depending on how far your wedding date is, people will give you deals for booking early. I got our DJ for 7 hours for $650 but we booked in November 2018....wedding is August 2019 we’re in Colorado. Most Dj’s were in the 1800+range
We're paying $550 for ours in North Alabama, which includes DJ services for 5 hours at the reception, dance floor lighting, and a custom monogram. If we had done ceremony & reception it would've been $750, but I wanted live musicians for the ceremony. I had a hard time finding a DJ under $1,500 originally since I wanted lighting and a monogram too. Our DJ lives 1 & 1/2 hours away from our venue but doesn't charge a travel fee if the venue is within 2 hours. He's from a very small town so that's why we got him so cheap.
Northwest Ohio and I have one of the cheaper ones because of the venue I am using they have a special deal with. We are paying $750 for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. It normally would have been more for the ceremony, but he threw it on for free at a bridal show I met him at.
