Coronavirus might highjack wedding: fake or real flowers

Mariah, on March 31, 2020 at 5:18 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 6
Debating on fake or real flowers for wedding in case Coronavirus causes us to push our date back. We are planning on getting married June 25th, but who knows what will happen. We will get married on that day regardless, but we will push back the reception if needed. The bouquets I’m looking at cost more for fake flowers than they would for the real ones, but it’d be nice to not need to worry about them if the date is moved. What are your thoughts?

I Personally Am Using Faux Flowers So I Dont Have To Worry About Real Ones Wilting Too Soon. But I Am Also Having My Bouquet Made From Wooden Flowers So I Can Keep It Forever. Maybe You Can Look Into The price For That As Well? Goodluck Smiley heart

I used fake bouquets for mine and they were cheap because i got them at the craft store.

however, you can also take this time to research non floral options in general

I used Budget Bride for our fake flowers and they were super affordable. You might want to look at other options - plus you don't have to worry about preserving them!

    Hi Mariah,

It can be stressful to think about postponing your June wedding on top of planning your big day. Luckily, there are many resources on our website that may be helpful as you navigate the pandemic planning process. Check out Our COVID-19 Weddings Advice Guide with articles like this one: What to Do About Your Wedding During the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Smiley flower Also, for floral, there are some existing discussions re: wooden flower options among WeddingWire brides:

    - Bouquets - Southern Blooms Co

    - Sola wood flowers or Sola Wood Flowers (more photos!)

Also, I found some user recs for bulk flowers / online ordering:

    - Experience Using Online Floral Vendors

    - Best Bulk Flower Website

I wish you the best of luck! Smiley heart

I used Budget Bride too and my bouquets just arrived yesterday. So excited! Even before all this craziness started happening I liked the idea of fake so I didn't have to worry about keeping them looking fresh or if the flowers were in season. Now I am even more thankful in case we have to reschedule.
