Co-moh-intimate Wedding

Liz, on November 25, 2020 at 11:24 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 11
Hey all!

Do you think it would be a bad decision to have my best friend and youngest sister to be my co-MOHs? My older younger sister will be officiating and my niece will be a bridesmaid. I want both my BFF and sister to be my MOH and I know that they each would love to be recognized as such.
The thing isI am having a very intimate wedding of about 30 of our closest friends and family members. Does that make a difference when deciding to have two MOHs?
I’m new to all this and I feel like I’m overthinking everything so please help me out.

I don’t think the size of your wedding is of any consequence in this matter. If you want them to be co-MOHs, then ask them!

Agreed, two MOH’s are fine as long as you’re satisfied with them in those roles. People have uneven wedding party’s all the time, there’s nothing saying you can’t have multiple honor attendants.

The size of the wedding doesn't matter. However, if you are having 2 co-MOHs and 1 bridesmaid, that bridesmaid may feel a little hurt. In that case, I would probably have 1 MOH or no MOH.

Totally agree! Your wedding, your vision! It doesn’t matter on the size of the wedding! Go for it & stop overthinking this! Lol!

It has been done before. My friend had four co-MOH and 6 bridesmaids I know a bit much. But I have seen it done before.

That’s exactly what I did. My BFF and my big sis are my matrons of honor. I was one of two MOHs in each of their weddings. It’s not uncommon. Our wedding will be 25 people including the wedding party.

My niece will be 9 years old turning 10 so I think she’ll be so happy being a bridesmaid. She feels too old to be a flower girl so I wanted her to have a special place in my wedding. Good point though!

Ok yeah, that makes sense. I wasn't sure how old she was, but at 9-10 I don't think she'll feel left out lol.
