A recent shower post reminded me of this. What are your views on co-ed bridal showers??? I personally will not have any men at my shower. I feel it should be to shower the bride or the mom (in the case of baby shower). If it's a same sex marriage and they are both females, I feel like they are both...

What are your views on co-ed bridal showers???

I personally will not have any men at my shower. I feel it should be to shower the bride or the mom (in the case of baby shower). If it's a same sex marriage and they are both females, I feel like they are both brides so they should both be at the shower.

This may stem from the one co-ed bridal shower I went to... It was a bad experience. The men were getting drunk and acting ridiculous and the groom was up there snatching gifts out of the bride's hands, opening all of them. I don't even know if she got to open a single gift. Smiley sad

    @E=mc2 !!!! Thank you so much for answering my questions! I am totally perplexed and it does sound like a lot of fun. If someone offered to host one, I would not be mad about it! I just doubt that it will happen because none of our friends have ever had one nor have FH or I ever been to one. Maybe us Ohioans haven't gotten on that train yet or our friends and myself are just totally out of the loop.

    I don't like men at showers. I think in most cases they do not want to be there. MIL wanted DH to be there but DH didn't want to and I didn't want him there so he didn't come. He came to pick up the gifts though. I feel it is a girly event and the guys are going to be bored. We went to a co-ed baby shower before and DH was tortured the entire time.

    We are having a co-ed shower and are both super pumped about it! We want to spend time with our friends together so this is the best option for us
