Choosing the order to walk down the aisle.

LetItSnow, on December 3, 2013 at 2:52 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

How did you choose what order the BP will walk down the aisle? MOH first or last? Then, tallest to shortest, oldest to youngest, order of closeness? My BM will be in different shades of blue for an ombre effect- just trying to decide who gets what shade of blue depending on what order they will need to stand in.

Shortest to tallest I think, with MOH going last since she needs to be closest to the altar.

    Same with the men too.

Traditionally the MOH is last I believe (at least that's what I'm doing). I basically just pictured them all standing up with me and arranged them in order of closeness and then work from the outside in - so those standing on the outside walk down first and MOH/BM walk down the aisle right before the bride (in my case since I don't have a ring bearer/flower girl).

Personally, this is how I'm going to be doing it.

Boys are all going to walk down the aisle (yes, my man is going to have an entrance too! haha) to their song. Then my flower lady (she's one of my closest friends and is a flamboyant, overly energetic 30 year old haha) will be followed by our ring bearer. My girls will then walk down with me shortly behind.

The order will go from outside person first and inwards. So bridesmaids and then MOH right before me (mainly because it's my mom too Smiley smile) / groomsmen and then Best man. Smiley smile

The MOH should walk in last. Otherwise, I'd probably do them by height-- shortest to tallest, that way the shortest will be on the end.

I don't even know what ordered they walked. My MOH was standing next to me and after her it was height order.

MOH last than its however u want it. Now me my sisters dont get along too well sometimes so i had to make sure they werent standing by eachother. and its the same with FHs brothers since they are so close in age.

First will be SIL and FIL

    Second MIL and FH

Third My brother and my mother

    Fourth Grandparents

Fifth - Groomsmen with Bridesmaids - tallest to shortest They will be filling in from outside to inside so shortest will be by me. My tallest bridesmaid is 6 ft in flats and I am only 5'6" so I figured the shorter ones next to me seemed like a good idea.

    Sixth MOH by herself

Seventh Best man with Ring Bearer

I didn’t have a MOH. I just had them walk in the order I’ve known them the longest with my longest friend standing next to me. Our BP pictures were based on height.
