Chicken or beef?

I know that these days there are SO many more options for wedding caterers and you have the ability to customize / make menus fit you and your theme. HOWEVER, I still do get the traditional 'chicken, beef or fish' choice RSVP cards, where the main protein is all you get to select ... What do you...

HOWEVER, I still do get the traditional 'chicken, beef or fish' choice RSVP cards, where the main protein is all you get to select ...

What do you usually choose in those situations - chicken, beef or fish? (or veg, if applicable!)

I usually choose chicken unless the veggie dish sounds appetizing

I usually choose beef. Every so often I'll be in a chicken mood and give that a try. I'm having the vegetarian dish at our wedding, because it was honestly the most delicious.

Chicken...I love chicken. Plus I'm that weird person that doesn't like steak.

I choose veggie which is normally pasta primavera or a plate of steamed veggies.

    Fish!

If fish wasn't an option, I would probably go with beef just because I think it would be harder to mess up. I've had some chicken dishes before that were mass produced and the flavor gets lost. Beef usually has more consistency IMO.

Also, if you have one or two vegetarians, a lot of caterers will just make special dishes for those guests if you let them know in advance (that way you can avoid the obligatory vegetarian dish if you don't actually want one).

Always chicken because I do not need red meat or seafood.

Depends honestly. typically I've found cheap cuts of beef laden with mushroom sauces make me sad.

I PREFER beef but I just like a good steak- I don't like anything else. Sooooooo if it's actually a steak or a just a cut of cow- then that. But if they try to go "fancy" with sauce- nope nope nope- chicken for me.

Chicken or Fish for me. The last wedding I attended too just had the little pictures of a cow, chicken, and fish on the rsvp card. I asked the bride what the options actually were!

I don't know how anyone knows what they'll be in the mood for a month ahead of time. Most of our venues offer the choice at the table when people are seated.

I'm seeing a lot of short ribs on menus now; that's what I'd choose. Also a lot of 'duets' with two entrees on the plate.

I usually, if not always, get the beef. I don't expect much out of wedding food and am rarely disappointed, but on the odd chance that the chef decides to shine, the beef usually beats the chicken.

Chicken...I don't eat seafood at all and I'm picky about the way I like my beef cooked, so chicken is the safest bet for me.

I generally will select the chicken item depending on what it has with it. If the event is set up buffet style, I usually try and get a small portion of each. Up until I started dating FH, I was a very picky eater. Everything had to be plain. No onions, or mushrooms. FH has expanded my pallet by not telling me what is in my food and to just eat it. He's a great cook.
