Chicken or beef?

Christina, on September 28, 2015 at 12:47 PM Posted in Planning 0 45

I know that these days there are SO many more options for wedding caterers and you have the ability to customize / make menus fit you and your theme.

HOWEVER, I still do get the traditional 'chicken, beef or fish' choice RSVP cards, where the main protein is all you get to select ...

What do you usually choose in those situations - chicken, beef or fish? (or veg, if applicable!)

I usually choose beef unless it's a weird dish and then I'll choose chicken.

I usually choose chicken, unless i know the type of fish they are serving. Which in the case of it being salmon, I pick fish!

I actually haven't received a traditional 'chicken, beef, or fish' ever. It's usually more specific for each of those choices. In that case, I usually pick fish since it's mostly salmon or crab cakes!

Even though I eat meat, I usually opt for the vegetarian if detail about the proteins aren't given. I'm not a big beef eater in general, chicken dishes are usually so-so, and I won't choose the fish if I don't know what type it is.

I almost always pick fish, beef 2nd choice, and chicken last. Chicken sometimes is dry when they cook it in bulk. I do like the trend of adding menu info to wedding websites now so that people know the food details (and you don't have to use all that room on the RSVP card!)

I always choose chicken. I'm like my beef well done. Most caterer make it medium because that's how most people eat it.

I always pick the beef option now because with catering, I've had more than one instance of undercooked chicken and old fish. Beef is the "safest" option IMO.

    Fish!

Or I ask for a vegetarian if they're only offering 'chicken or beef' (I have had a couple of those!)
