Is ANYONE having a < 2,000 wedding??? Has anyone bought a dress that is not from a bridal shop? Like under $200? Lol. I want something beautifully simple and if i'm only gonna wear it once i might as well make it cheap! I was thinking of getting a white flowy dress and tie dying the bottom of it...

I was thinking of getting a white flowy dress and tie dying the bottom of it so that its got our wedding colors watercolored at the bottom.

Please tell me I'm not the only one doing a cheap wedding? Its going to be pretty small and its only ONE day of my whole life. I just need it to go beautifully not cost a lot.

While I’m not intentionally trying to have a wedding under 2k, I would suggest joining bridal but/sell groups and searching fb marketplace. Found my dress and veil for $100 on there. I would also suggest looking for dresses made for prom dresses. Check out David’s bridal, lulus, Amazon, and department stores like Macy’s. Also check out consignment shops, thrift shops, and antique shops

I love your idea of water-color dying the bottom of your dress! I don't know about wedding dresses (other people seem to have great ideas, though!), but I've seen plenty of bridesmaids dresses like you described for $100-$200, if you want to check that out.

Amazon has tons of options. Found one I loved on there for $100 and reviews are great. Didn’t buy because I wanted the experience of going to bridal shop lol. Also my original budget for my dress was $300. If you go to bridal shops and tell them that they will show you bridesmaids dresses you can order in white they’re nice just more simple.

I got my dress at David’s Bridal, it only cost me about $600, but way cheaper than other places wanted! I was going to try a personalized dress, but that would have cost me 1,100, and I was trying to keep things under 5k (which so far I’ve been very lucky about).

Check out Azazie (website) and pay the $15 to try on your favorite dresses.

Lulu's and ASOS both have inexpensive bridal dresses, and some of BHLDN's simpler designs (or bridesmaids dresses in ivory) would be great inexpensive bridal gowns as well. All of those sites offer options under $250.

I purchased my dress off StillWhite and paid approximately 1/6th of the price I would have paid for it new. OnceWed, Preownedbridaldresses.com, and Poshmark are great options for pre-owned (some still NWT though) dresses at a discount.
