Changing wedding date

*Future Mrs. Smith, on June 1, 2011 at 7:45 PM Posted in Planning 0 22

We have to change our wedding date because our kids will be starting school in early August and we won't be able to take a long honeymoon....I'm sad because I always wanted a August wedding...Anyone else have to change their date?

I did have to change it, but I wanted to. We were going to get married on September 29th, 2012 but then I was like "well, we really don't need to wait that long" so we changed it to May 12th, 2012. I am so happy we moved it closer, but sometimes I think maybe we should have kept it the original date to have more time. Oh well. Still excited about it. lol.

We just had to move it back 5 weeks. Now, our wedding is the week before the kids start school for both sets of kids.

We were so close, and now our days until the wedding doubled... but we're still together, we're still getting married. The only thing that will change on that day is he starts to wear a ring too and we have a piece of paper...

I actually had to change mine too about 2-3 weeks ago we had it for april 10th 2012 right after i graduate high school (its weird im graduateing janurary of 12) and that will be my hs's spring break and his college spring break.. and my FH and i were talking about it and we noticed that this past spring break he and i were very stresses out with his college work and some of my hs things and the last thing we want is for us to be stressed wedding day/ honeymoon night so we decided to move it to a week and a day after he graduates college and gets his chef degree so we can aviod all the stress and have a wonderful wedding and a romantic honeymoon so dont be too up set like my daddy has always said good things happen for those who wait! (and dont worry im not some crazy 16 yr old im 19 years old and he is 22, we have been togehter for 4 years!)

I wanted to push it back a year with everything that has been going on healthwise with FH, but he's adamant about keeping it as is. So 6/9/12 it is. I have no objections there Smiley smile

I think when to hold your wedding isn't important.Because wedding itself is exciting enough.Since your kids will go to school in August. Why not hold your wedding in July. The climate between July and August will not change a lot. Most of all, you can share the special moment with your kids.

I am not sure about when your kids go back to school, but can you push it back to august 4th? It's still an august wedding and you have that extra week to go on a honeymoon instead. But then again, I don't know when they go to school.

My original date was April 30, 2011, but since I lost my job we had to push it back to August.

We had to change our date- My fiance was diagnosed with a form of Lymphoma and had to begin Chemo theropy treatments- 6 months before our wedding was suppose to be held- That's okay though! He's doing great and I'm so happy we pushed if from July to October! :-)

Yep i changed mine from 4/28/2012 to 4/7/2012. My mom's 50th bday is 4/22 and I didn't want to take away from her big day. Also, we started a tradition this year and had our first Family Easter picnic and wanted to continue that on, so we changed it to Easter weekend next year!

We moved our wedding date up a week. And our kids will all be in school when we get married. FH's son lives with his mother so he will just ride home with FFIL after the wedding. And my mom is staying with my kids so I can go on my honeymoon.
