Ceremony Programs - Need to Have or Nice to Have?

We don't need to have them, but we are going to have them. I went to a wedding where they were on fans and thought that was the perfect idea when having an outdoor wedding. And, in Texas, even in the fall, a fan is nice to have for an outdoor wedding.

Nice to have, I never thought of a wedding as something that needs a program. Everyone knows the general structure, so why waste the paper? We aren't having them. Our ceremony will be about 20 minutes max, so what's the point?

Nice to have. I'm doing them because we're having some non-traditional readings and if anyone likes them to have for themselves in the future the program is there to reference. I'm also overly sentimental so the more keepsakes from our day, the better.

Nice to have, unless it's a very scripted ceremony, where guests might want to know what is happening.

Nice to have. I'm seen some beautiful ones but they end up in the trash so I prefer to spend my money elsewhere.

Nice to have. I seriously doubt we will be making a program. All the information in the program is on out wedding site so... We can allot that money somewhere else

Nice to have but i didnt get them i was thinking about it but people will just throw them away and for the cost of them it would have made me mad to just see them thrown away anyway so money saved in that department...and im glad i did to .

Nice to have unless it’s a religious ceremony with a lot of parts. We are doing a short non-religious ceremony though and have opted for them since we are including a few interesting readings and non-religious traditions that people may not be familiar with.

Nice to have but could potentially be another way to spend extra money.

I am doing a ceremony / reception program because my fiance wants it. I created and printed them myself because I couldn't bear to spend more than the cost of paper on them since I think programs are useless.

Nice to have. I think they're a waste, honestly. Most people, if not all, end up throwing them away.

I don’t feel they’re necessary. We’re going to have a pretty short ceremony, so I don’t plan to have them!
