Ceremony Music

If the bridesmaid wants to sing then I don't think it'd hurt to ask, but even though I've been told I have an amazing voice, I hate singing in front of people. I just chose songs that meant a lot to us. The song I'm walking down to I heard way before meeting my husband, and I said it would be in my wedding whenever I got married. I know a lot of people don't have songs like this, but just try to think of some. Surf through wedding song playlists or look at the millions of countdown lists online of songs top walk down the aisle to. =] so many options for inspiration!

Our ceremony is definitely a faith-based ceremony. However, not all of the music is faith music. Some, but not all. I'm walking down the aisle to "Edelweiss". My fiance is German. He took me to Austria last summer. Edelweiss is the flower of Austria. Also, I grew up watching The Sound of Music with my mom. It's a special song in many ways. I have a harpist playing for our ceremony. It's so beautiful!

Find something that is special to you both. That is all that matters.

Hey Jale! I understand what you mean! How do you narrow down all the songs in the world down to one song that you will walk down the aisle to? Start off by thinking if there are any songs that have a special meaning to you or your SO. If nothing comes to mind, then you can start searching for common processional songs and see if anything fits in with your wedding. You should have a conversation with your BM to see if she would be interested in singing at your ceremony. If it is something you both want, then it’s a great idea!

Do you think your whole bridal party will walk down the aisle to the same song?

I don’t have anyone that sings but I was a bridesmaid at a wedding that the bride just came to play music and just like people do readings and poem she had one of her MOH sign a song and the second MOH did a duet song with her husband. It was beautiful.

If your bridesmaid wants to sing then that is definitely something special, but she may not be comfortable singing. One of my bridesmaids got married last year and her friend sang as she walked down the aisle and for their first dance. It was really nice.
Knowing how to choose a song is definitely a tough one. I basically listened to like 500 different instrumental or love song or movie scores or classical music playlists until I found one that I thought would work.

Hi Jale! Have you had time to think about and choose a song to walk down the aisle to? What did you choose?

Will your BM be singing the song or having a playback fo the song?

I've also been thinking about a worship part of the ceremony. Just don't know how to incorporate it!
