Can't pick a dress to save my life

I'm back I posted a discussion about 4 weeks ago with a few dresses that I was trying to decide between. The one that "won" you guys over had entirely too much "bling" or my taste. It was the Karena Royale by Maggie Sottero. I very much appreciate the votes, but I just couldn't sell myself on it....

I'm back Smiley sad I posted a discussion about 4 weeks ago with a few dresses that I was trying to decide between. The one that "won" you guys over had entirely too much "bling" or my taste. It was the Karena Royale by Maggie Sottero. I very much appreciate the votes, but I just couldn't sell myself on it.

So I found myself trying on dresses yet again last night.

I wrote down three that were half way decent, and although I'm not sure if any of these are THE ONE, I need to know if I'm on the right path. Be honest, tell me which ones are awful or if any are OK.

The first dress is Allure 2455. I think I like it, but its SO different than what I thought I wanted that I'm afraid to like it. I'm also worried that the front is a little too old lady.

They should be able to get ones they don't have for you to try them on.

If you don't like all the bling, I really do like the other Maggie's the girls here have copied here. That shape is just so perfect for you. And SATIN too! Not too many girls can pull off satin!

Try the other Maggie's in other stores. As long as your boutique carries Maggie, they can absolutely order them for you! And you DO have some time. You do NOT need to order it RIGHT now.

They can order other dresses, but they can take 6 months to come in. I like both of those Maggies, and my boutique actually has the first one. The issue is that its outside of my budget.

I know what you mean by being afraid to like a dress. I chose a dress that was very different from what I wanted. I wanted lace, bohemian, something a lot like your dress. But I ended up with a strapless satin gown.

At any rate, you have to "love" a gown. I agree that you might need to keep shopping.

I like the third one you posted, I think it looks amazing, same with the "glittery bag" one.... The Maggie dress Paris posted is gorgeous too.... I wish I could give more advice but I picked the fourth dress I tried on.... I went once and liked every single dress I tried on.... then based on pictures picked one out of those and came back a couple weeks after and bought it...

Just a suggestion... is it possible to sale your store credit to another bride? maybe you can have your bridesmaids buy dresses from there and pay you instead of the store (and put them on your credit)?

#3 is my fav on you but you need to keep looking. I wouldn't settle in something like this! You need to feel beautiful in the dress.

My two cents is to keep looking until you find the dress and don't let your mother's taste influence your decision . I have one that I am not in love with but was pressured into getting because my mother loved it and was paying for it. You deserve to love your dress and don't settle for anything less.

Keep searching! Do not settle or feel pressured to make a decision. You have time. If you don't love these, and its obvious you don't, then don't buy one.

I tried on SOOO MANY dresses like i was tired of trying dresses already, i decided to go for one but having second thoughts, so what I did is search for a dress that i like that incorporated every single aspect of what I was looking for.. ex lace, fit and bought it without telling anyone because my BM and mom were driving me crazy... i felt like if i was never going to find "the one" but I did.. so u just have to keep searching because YOU WILL find it.. the dresses are pretty but I don't see that sparkle in you in any of them! GOOD LUCK!

Of the three from your recent trip, I like number one or two, but think #2 would be improved by adding a sparkly or colorful sash to draw attention to your waist more.

I definitely agree not to stop searching though if you're not happy - if you feel bad about the long appointments, maybe go again without your mom and narrow down to 2-3 that you really like, then show her only the best ones at a later date?

I decided on my dress because the thought of leaving the store without the dress made me cry! I was worried because I wasn't sure everyone would like it but at the end of the day, I decided that I had to pick what I thought was best for me. And the fact that I was crying about potentially not having this dress meant I needed to have it! I ordered it 10 minutes later!

If you don't love them don't it! you might be tied to the shop but not the dresses in the shop. All shops might carry the designer but have different dresses. I saw a dress in another shop but wanted to get in from a certain place and they were able to order it for me no problem! SO keep looking! Smiley smile

If You Look At The Dress And Say you Don't know If It is It Then From One bride To Another It Is Not It And You Do Not Want To settle. When I Went Looking For My Dress my Sister Told Me That When You Put The Dress On You Will Know And When You Get That Feeling Of this Is The One Than You Know You Have Found Your Dress.

I like the glittery bag dress the best...it's very flattering to your figure. I know this sounds weird, but have you tried on the dress that's in the background (on mannequin) of your 1 & 2 pics? It looks similar and pretty...
