Can't Breathe! Too Many RSVP's!!!

Jackie, on May 14, 2010 at 4:01 PM Posted in Planning 0 12

I'm getting TONS of RSVP's - and they all say yes! Is this happening to anyone else? I've received about 100 yes and 0 no's!

There has to be people that don't want to come to my wedding. Are you ladies experiencing this mess?

People love you Smiley smile But I know what you mean, I'm banking on not as many people coming as we invite. I PRAY not as many as I invite will come.

How many more are you that have not RSVP? I think the ones that come in later are more likely to be no's. So far we have received just over half of them back. We have about 80% RSVP yes. If it stays at this rate, we will have about 180 come. I am hoping it be more like 150.

We're currently at 168 confirmed and received 4 declines. And a handful that haven't responded at all.

I have only sent the save the date cards and I was kinda hoping I would get yes or nos back, so far nothing. I am with you on the RSVP's I am hoping atleast 25 out of 275 don't come. But I have talked to lots of my friends who have been married recently and they say most parties 80%, but weddings usually it is almost everyone!

That makes me feel a little better. I sent 150 invitations and 100 have said yes. I'm hoping the last 50 invitations have some no's.

I also just received an RSVP that has no name - two people, but no name. Maybe they were just too excited they forgot their name.

Awwww people do love you! :-) My first rsvp's were nos (total of 4 people) who are FH's aunt/uncle and 2 cousins..they sent me a comment on ww website after they rsvp'ed and said that it was due to the fact that it was FH's second wedding and it was a "Same story different dance" and looked like a handout for gifts. They live 6 blocks (BLOCKS) from the damn wedding. I emailed them back and said thank you for their quick response and while I understand the hesitance with a second wedding it is still my first and it may be the same "story" but the characters and love are different and also that we weren't really asking for gifts since we've lived together for 2 years. Oye! Good luck on no's though!! hahaha *Fingers crossed*

Yeah the no names ones aren't good... My mom and I put numbers on the back of the RSVP cards and matched them to the parties so that we'll know who the RSVP came from if they forget!!!!

The ones who reply early really want to come! Great!

There should be a slow down after a couple of weeks or so.

Still account for 1-5% no shows.
