Can you have a junior groomsman without a junior bridesmaid?

Katie, on April 10, 2018 at 10:46 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

I am trying to decide if it would look weird to have a junior groomsman without a junior bridesmaid? Who would he walk with? Or if it would look better to have a Junior Bridesmaid who is 2 1/2 years older than the Junior Groomsman. The Jr. Groomsman is 9 and the Jr. Bridesmaid would be 11, almost 12. Thoughts anyone???

I think their ages are similar enough if you wanted a junior bridesmaid. You don't need to do one if you don't want to. The jr groomsman can walk the aisle alone

There is no need to have matching sides when it comes to the juniors. He can walk by himself.

On the other hand, the age difference is also irrelevant.

I have two junior bridesmaids walking together and sitting during the ceremony... that age it’s hard for them to stand the whole time

Our Junior Bridesmaid is 16 and the junior groomsman is 11. Everyone else is over 21, and the junior distinction we made since they are part of the wedding but won’t be at the bachelor/bachelorette parties.

Definitely won’t look weird. I wouldn’t add an extra person just to create a little more symmetry.
