I personally would not like it for my wedding because I don't like camping and picture that as extremely rustic. I do however enjoy small intimate weddings, so if the rustic aspect doesn't bother you, go for it. You may regret not having photography, but honestly most people only look at one or two pictures after the first couple of years.

My best friend did a camping wedding! I’m not sure how formal/informal you want it. Everyone brought their campers and tents. People made a dish in their camper and grilled burgers and hotdogs for the rehearsal like a potluck. Wedding favors were mason jars for drinking. We did a cookout for dinner, bonfire, s’mores for after dinner. Not everyone likes camping, but it got them perfectly! FH and I love camping, we pack horses into the wilderness, so the wedding was not that “rustic” to us.
