Calm down needed!

Anna, on May 27, 2019 at 9:44 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 11
Okay ladies, I just realized we have less than 6 months until our wedding. I just had a mini freak out/panic session. What did you all do to calm your nerves? I know some if not most of you have or will be in the same position. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks for all the great discussion about so many great topics!

I worked on my DIY signs. Crafting really gives me an outlet to relieve stress.

I've had to pull my mind from wedding world several times! Take breaks from wedding planning and treat yourself to a movie at home, a manicure, or anything you prefer. Above all, remember to take care of yourself Smiley smile

We're just about 6 months away ourselves so I understand how you feel. I would suggest taking some time off from wedding planning. Go on a nice date night, have a girls day, etc.

Do you have a hobby to keep you distracted? I’ve recently taken up sewing and like doing that or finding things to do with my Cricut.

This is going to sound lame I found a you tube series called puppy prep. It is about training service dogs.

Hey we're date twins! I decided to go home for the long weekend and spend time with family (FH and I moved about 4 - 6 hours away from our parents and most other family due to new jobs) my Mom and I went and had a spa day with no wedding talk and it was amazing!

I need to do something. My usual go to didn't help. I usually go into the kitchen and bake and bake. That's my stress reliever but it didn't help this time.

Awe...the more organized I am the less panic I have. I just started having some anxiety now that I am under 90 days. Its like EKK~ LOL. Just try to stay focused and organize as much as you can to this point

Take a deep breath! Most important thing is you are marrying the love of your life and the rest will fall into place. Also checklists and timelines - they keep me on schedule and that helps with the panic lol. Also not obsessing over little things...something I still struggle with at times Smiley smile

I had the same freak out. I sat in a ball & cried. Then created an excel spreadsheet of everything that was still needed & calculated the payment schedule (including tips & overage). Then I thought about all the things that I wanted to do & came up w/ a plan. I still get quite freaked out about how everything is going to go - and I usually jump on my bike or sometimes binge watch tv (either HGTV or six feet under).
