Cake pricing.. what have you guys been quoted?

We did a non-traditional cake, 3 tiers, a large single layer cake (we did coffee cake), and delivery for $300

We’re doing a 3 tier cake (top 2 layers are fake) similar design to your second photo. Then a sheet cake in the back. 2 different flavors, butter cream. $250! In the Baltimore area.

I am in NC. My cake is 3 tiers and flavors for $450 for 80 ppl

We had a three tier with different fillings for 60 people and it was $425 including delivery and set up

I was quoted $970 for a 4-tier cake that serves 160 people. Basic white cake with a filling and buttercream frosting. I did not think that was worth the cost so I eventually ended up ordering cupcakes and a small cutting cake for half the price. The quote you received sounds fair to me but it probably depends where you live. Get quotes from other nearby bakeries to compare.

I live in California. For our 3 tier cake that will serve 150 people we paid $580.

This was our cake for the BBQ we had the day after with all our friends. Black Forest Cherry cake with buttercream. The flowers were real. $400, including delivery and set up for 100 people. We had cannolis for our brunch reception day of.

We were quoted $500 here in MD for our cake. We're ordering a small two tier cake (10" and 8") with two different flavors: strawberry champagne and lemon raspberry with white buttercream. To supplement the additional servings for 100 guests, we're getting a sheet cake as well.

We saved by ordering our cake that way ($200) and supplying our own stand, topper, and flowers ($50).

We’re in Raleigh NC. This includes a $100 stand rental. We get $75 back when we return the stand. Plus free delivery. Our cake come with 6” and 8” cake plus 36 cupcakes. We ordered additional 15 more cupcakes to go with it. We paid $305 for ours.

Im in Atlanta, too. I got my 4 tier, all fondant, with painted on scrolls for $450.

575 for 120 servings with color added to the fondant. With delivery included.

We're having our cake made by a local university's bakery. We've been quoted around $200 for a three-tier red velvet cake

That’s a steal! I’m paying $610 for a four layer cake with 152 servings, which was a lot cheaper than the other bakeries in the area!

Everyone’s cake looks amazing. I kinda wish I thought about my venue’s location more before I really booked it. It’s so far from majority of my vendors. (Small lake town) Thankful some of my vendors were nice enough to waive the travel fees.

Daughter did a lot of comparison shopping and got hers for $4 a slice: 3-layers, simple spatula buttercream frosting, for 100 people (with delivery, I think it was $425, in So Cal). Most of the bakers she talked with, their cakes were in the $6-10 a slice range, so she was thrilled when she found her baker. The florist provided roses for each of the layers and she had a personalized cake top.

That’s a great deal! I’m doing 3 tiers with three different flavors and renting a cake stand for $480 in Austin for 80-100 people. They said that would feed everyone and then they’ll make us our top tier with our flavor choice for our one year anniversary. They said a sheet cake helps to save money for larger weddings but not one of my size

We were quoted for two tier 6” 9” with buttercream frosting with white cake and chocolate cake (we are plain janes) for $170 plus $35 delivery charge. I’m providing my own cake stand. This is for the Savannah GA area and to serve up to 30-35 people, which we are only expecting about 25 tops.

Our first quote for a small, 2 tier cake with 2 sheet cakes for the rest of our guests was over $600. We got another quote for the exact same thing (except she did 4 half sheet cakes instead of 2 full sheets) for $230. In total we had enough cake to serve 150.
