Cake cutting song

We did "Grow Old With You" by Adam Sandler.

Our cake cutting was MAYBE one minute. I wouldn't stress about it too much.

We didn't have anything, because the dining area was downstairs at our venue and the DJ was upstairs. As long as an announcement is made so nobody misses it music isn't really necessary. It's so short that you only get a short blip of a song anyway. Hey, how about just a drum roll? Lol

At my first wedding we used James Taylor's "How Sweet it is. . .To be loved by you"

I still like that as a cake cutting song, but it's not an option for obvious reasons LOL

Not really a classic cake cutting song. People usually use song with lyrics that say "sweet and Sugar"

We didn't have a cake cutting song. I mean, I'm sure our DJ played SOMETHING so there wasn't awkward silence, but I couldn't even begin to guess what was played. We never requested a certain song, or thought to.

I also can't tell you that I remember or even noticed a specific song being played for the cake cutting at any wedding I have ever been to.

I kinda feel like selecting songs for every little thing for wedding receptions is getting out of hand personally.

LOL I think I want to do Pour Some Sugar on Me hahahaha

We did "Sugar, Sugar" by the Archies. Not only for the title of the song, but when my DH and I meet at a Halloween party, he was dressed up as Archie. So the song just worked.

We are using In Spite of Ourselves by John Prine & Iris Dement. Hope the 'rents don't get offended. I think it's funny!

My FH would love the "eat it" idea because he loves weird al but I love the "pour some sugar on me" because I think that would be fun and also hilarious

I don't think it's a really important decision or anything and obviously if you didn't pick anything the DJ would play something but it's a fun one to choose!!!

We did yummy yummy yummy got love in my tummy by Ohio express. It fit perfectly for a fun cake cutting.
