Buying wedding band online?

Sara, on July 11, 2016 at 10:12 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15

My FH and I started shopping for wedding bands this weekend. I didn't find anything I loved in the stores and lots of associates suggested I look at their inventory online which has a wider range. If you've ordered your wedding band online - can you share your experience and where you ordered from? In addition to the traditional in-store jewelers, I also found Two Birch which gets great reviews from WW.

I used Allurez. They had the same ring I had seen in store for about $600 less. Shipping was fast, but the tracking was screwed up. Customer service was really good and gave me the tracking info. Plus we were able to get a lifetime warranty and they had really good reviews.

My fiance ordered my custom e-ring online from an etsy seller. Transaction was smooth and service was good. Totally happy with it all around.

I bought my band from Blue Nile. They had an amazing sale on platinum, and I was able to get a really good deal. Also, I give high praise to their customer service- my band was too small, and they made the process of getting it resized super easy for me.

I got mine from mensrings.biz and they were awesome to work with! I ordered the ring, and they instantly contacted me letting me know when I should get it. After it arrived I had FH try it on. It was a little big, so I contacted them and they replied within a few hours! They were super awesome to work with and exchange the ring for a different size.

@kelly - I will check out Allurez I hadn't found them yet. Thanks!

@boozybaker - never thought to look at Etsy. Thanks!

@futuremrsreno - I will check them out, thanks. I am also looking for Platinum to match my ering (this opened my eyes to how expensive platinum is).

I think if you have seen rings in person so you know what the carat sizes look like on your finger, as well as what the diamond quality looks like in person, then it's okay to buy online. I would just read the return policy carefully in case the quality is not what you want when you actually get it!

@Kara-almost-Ball - thanks I will add them to my list to check out.

@alyssaw - do you know the name of the ebay store your FH used?

@annakay511 - good call on the return policy. That would be an expensive item to be stuck with if it wasn't what I wanted. Thanks!

I ordered FH's wedding band from iweddingbands.com. He wanted a very plain, white gold ring. I got a 4 mm 14k ring for $140. It came with an optional engraving, which turned out beautifully.

I bought my FH wedding band at https://www.larsonjewelers.com/

They were great. He wasn't crazy about the first ring, (he wanted a smaller mm and different cut) but I returned it with no questions asked. The next ring I got he loved! I think they even pay for shipping for you to try several different rings. (I didn't know that at the time, but look into it!)

The prices are so much better than buying it from a jewelry store and the quality is the same!

I ordered my FH ring from macys.com and got a hell of a deal. The band he wanted was approximately $1,000. I bought it online, no shipping when they had a great sale and I had coupons, total out of pocket was less than $400. When it arrived it was exactly we had seen at the store and he had tried on. We went to numerous stores to figure out what he liked and wanted. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I'm in the same boat as you and ended up going online!

BrilliantEarth.com. I got my engagement ring through them (they also have locations in San Fran and LA.) my ring is a one of a kind estate piece and I couldn't be happier!

I'm trying Etsy for my wedding band after finding a couple sellers with a return policy.

I am also a huge Blue Nile fan! They are having a sale right now too- up to 20% off diamond jewelry. Great customer service and high quality jewelry.
