So i have 3 weeks until my wedding and i just found out that i wont get my butterfly order in time as well as the fact that it isn't the best for the little creature so now i have programs that have 4 little girls labeled as "Releasers" and nothing to release. Any suggestions?? I DID NOT ORDER...

So i have 3 weeks until my wedding and i just found out that i wont get my butterfly order in time as well as the fact that it isn't the best for the little creature so now i have programs that have 4 little girls labeled as "Releasers" and nothing to release. Any suggestions??

I DID NOT ORDER THEM!! I am just trying to figure out what else i can do i don't have the time or money to redo my programs so i need the girls to "Release" something NON LIVING. I cant do bubbles because i am using those instead of rice or flower pedels being thrown at the recessional. I posted about them before and didn't know how cruel it was and now i am trying to fix my HONEST MISTAKE.

@Britti, decision made! I've been trying to figure out a good job for some of the younger kids in our families who are begging to be involved! Smiley smile

If your program just calls them "releasers" then they could release bubbles. I like the bubble idea, I'm using it! Lol

@ Devon- unless they are tossing birdseed or something dissolves in water you are still hurting the environment. Glitter and sometimes confetti is made of plastic.

Very glad the butterfly order did not come through. OP, that is a terribly cruel thing to do with a live creature. They were not born just to die as colorful props for your wedding photos.

It is heartless to release butterflies without regard to season or weather, releasing in the cold months or cites or in the rain is cruel. Releasing them outside their range or appropriate season means you'll shorten their already short lives.

Might as well let your 'releasers' just stab them with a pin.

Please Stop This Fucking Awful Wedding Practice.

Although I have the feeling OP still ordered them after a four page thread about why not to do this.

Jacks, she already ordered them. I think. They just aren't going to come in on time.

Dress them as Mother of Dragons and let them release the dragons.

What about bubbles or confetti poppers? Obviously only if your venue allows confetti but that could make for some bitchin pics!

Please don't ever involve any sort of animal cruelty into your life or your wedding. Don't use confetti or anything that isn't biodegradable, also avoid rice since that swells in birds digestive systems.

    Bubbles for the win!!!

Oh my gosh bubble guns! I think I know what my girls are using instead of wands now! OP don't release anything that is alive. So cruel.

    Maybe you could rent velociraptors?

And yes I was talking about a thread about a month ago where we discussed this at length I believe with OP. It appears she was trying to do it anyway.

OP, what are you going to do with all the butterflies now?

Has anyone read the article where the butterflies were placed in white envelopes on white chairs and the guests all sat on them? Please don't use living things!

As an aside, I have a ridiculous fear of flying bugs, so releasing a couple hundred butterflies would turn me into a screaming lunatic and I'd be the talk of your wedding. Cool for no one! Just saying Smiley smile

Please no butterflies. I thought that was illegal in some places. If not, it should be. Bubbles. Do the bubbles.
