Busy Venue

Alexa, on January 30, 2020 at 2:42 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

So my indoor wedding is on a Friday evening in November with the ceremony at 5p. The venue informed me that the couple getting married the day after mine asked to have their rehearsal at 12p on our day. The coordinator offered to make it at 11a to make sure there's enough break down/set up time. Has this sort of thing happened to anyone else?? And do y'all think that is enough time??

I wouldn't worry, rehearsals typically take like 30 minutes. We had our rehearsal at 10AM on Friday for our Saturday 5PM wedding.

I think this really depends on what's happening such as how long they'd take and when you'd need the venue to start decor and photos and getting ready.

Our rehearsal is happening at 12 pm the day before our wedding, because the venue wants to keep the night before available for any potential events.

It sounds like your coordinator is working with you, and it really should not be a problem. They should know that you need the space and will probably want to be in and out of there asap.

Welcome to the WeddingWire community, Alexa Smiley smile If your coordinator is confident that there will be enough time I would trust them. It sounds like you have a good working relationship, especially if they came to you with this so far in advance.
