Seated dinner, then dessert and candy buffet after. best of both worlds!

For my wedding buffet is the best.

Plated. It's more formal and with the number of guests (ours will be around 120) buffet takes way too long. I always prefer plated, but that's just my opinion.

We did plated and I am very glad we did. Our venue had very quick service, so it worked out well. I like that people were able to just keep visiting and not have to get up and stand in line for awhile.

I'm hoping you mean buffet or PLATED dinner. I'm also hoping everyone will be sitting for the dinner. Just sayin'.

@Awesome Thief - That's what I said. We're having a buffet, and our guests get to SIT DOWN to eat....

It all depends on what is important to you. If you are looking for a more pampered experience, then sit down dinner is the way to go. But, if you want to have more time for things like dancing and other activities, buffets allow you to do that. There is usually a cost savings with buffets as well because it is less labor intensive for the catering company.
