Bridesmaids thank you gifts

I’m trying to decide what to get my girls as a thank you. I plan to give them their gifts at the rehearsal dinner. Not sure if this is a big no no or not but I asked each of them to choose from an earring catalog which set they would like to get and each chose what they liked so they will wear it for the wedding and then after if they so choose. Most girls picked earrings they could wear daily so it’s not all flashy. Then I was thinking about getting them little customized travel jewelry cases with their names to go with jewelry theme. I figure each girl has something she could keep in there. Is this not personal enough or too wedding related. I’m torn because hubby is getting the guys funny socks to wear for the wedding but I’m not sure if they’ll appreciate my ideas.

I think it sounds good, it’s not like you’re buying them wedding only items. You’re buying them things they can use later on as well.

I just bought my girls earrings to wear in the wedding (little silver knots that can be worn casually, too) and then I'm getting them personalized tumblers (epoxied with their names - NOT title, ie bridesmaid). I feel like that should be enough?

I’m paying for their hair and makeup, but I’m also giving each bridesmaid a fully charged portable cell phone battery pack. It’s gonna be a long day, they will use it!

I got my girls earrings that they will wear on my wedding day.. Etsy has a lot of cute and inexpensive ideas! I figured earrings they can wear the day of and wear after.

I think your idea is great! Gifts that are supposed to be props for the wedding, or wedding-themed, really make the gift about you, when gift giving should always be about the person you're gifting to.

Is there a $ per head I should do? I just don’t want to be too cheap with my gifts. Also will add a gift card for the maid of honor because she is going above and beyond with her duties.
