I'm afraid everyone will pick the same dress except maybe 1-2 girls, there is 6 all together and that may be look odd. has anyone had experience with this? Which option to do you pefer? Matching or non Matching.

I have 5 BMs, we used Azazie. I told them to pick a chiffon dress in a specific color. They magically all picked different styles, but they all look great together. I'm a fan of mismatched dresses, but only if they are the same color, so people can still know they are bridesmaids! We are doing tiffany blue, so it definitely stands out. It's a tough enough color to make them wear, I figured I'd at least let them pick the style.

My BMs are all wearing the same dress but I told my MOH that, if she liked, she could get a small belt to fancy hers up a bit. They are the BHLDN fleur dress is dusty plum (currently being discontinued so they got a discount after I had a mild panic attack when I couldn't find them!)

I only decided on the color then we all went shopping together and they tried on a bunch of styles to see what they like most then we narrowed it down to material and then down to 4 styles they could pick from. I have 7 girls 4 will be in strapless and 3 will be one shoulder.

My bridesmaids will be in mismatched dresses, which originally is the complete opposite of what I pictured. Their options are any long, chiffon Bill Levkhoff dress in one of 3 shades of gray, and no beading/sequins/anything crazy.

My bridesmaids gave different dresses. I have three bridesmaids. They all have the same length and color but one is different. So we are going to put her in the middle of the other two. It will look just fine I think! My suggestion is that all of them have the same color and length. If you want different colors then I would suggest they all have different colors or at least two of each color if that makes sense. I think it will be just fine!!!

I let my girls pick their dresses with fabric, length and color scheme. I hated wearing the same dress as 11 (yes, 11) other girls in the last wedding I was in so my decision was reactionary.

I'm totally guilty of my BMs mismatching. As long as the length, color and material are the same, I see nothing wrong with it. My girls are all very happy with their dresses and feel great wearing them. I didn't want them unhappy or uncomfortable, especially when their purchasing their own dress I think you should give them a leeway. At least there will be a good chance of them, wearing it again. I think mixing things up is nice, its the new generation times have changed why not go with it?!? Best of luck and wishes along the way!!!!

Don't have my bridal party yet, but mine will have mismatched colors. We are having a few wedding colors, so we want each pair of BM and GM to wear one of the colors. I'm hoping they can agree on one dress, because I think it would look good and I don't want everything to be mismatched.

I have 4 BMs and I presented them with 4 styles. All 4 picked the same one, and 2 of the four said they liked another style (same one) so I left it open to them and they chose to match. I say ask your BMs what they like. Then everyone is happy and comfortable!

I'm having all my girls in the same dress. I was afraid if I gave them the options of different styles that my more busty friends would pick the strapless style. I do like when they don't match though too. You could also pick out dresses that are the same style but have different necklines. It's your day, pick what you want! Smiley smile

I don't have anything to add because I have been debating the same thing. This thread has been very helpful for me! Thanks so much everyone!

My girls were different heights, skin tones, body types, not to mention spread out across the globe, but I loved royal blue and thought it would look good on everyone. Picked out 5 styles of the same length, fabric type and color at David's Bridal and sent the links to everyone. One bridesmaid asked if she could wear a different style she'd already worn for another wedding (thus knew her size and that it looked good on her) and I said that was fine as it was still same length and fabric. A few girls went for the same style and some were the only one in their style but everyone looked different even in the same dress that it worked out and looked awesome! It was the best option for our wedding- everyone could be comfortable and feel great while also looking great!

Mine are wearing the same dress but in different shades of purple, with the lightest lavender next to me and the darkest purple the farthest away to create an ombré effect. The dress is long strapless tulle

My girls are ordering from Azazie. I gave them a color and length, but they can pick the style. All four have different body types and I wanted them to be in something they felt comfortable in. Shoes, hair, and makeup are totally up to them and I'm providing earrings as one part of their gift. It's mismatched but will still look cohesive, IMO.
