Bridesmaids Gifts

Katie, on August 25, 2020 at 5:28 PM Posted in Planning 1 9

Hey guys. I have a 5/14/21 wedding date and I am beginning to look at ideas for bridesmaids gifts. I dont' want to be cliche, so I'm looking for unique ideas, DIY would be great as well. What are some things you have done?

I gave my girls a gift card to a place they like and wrote them a heartfelt note.

I bought each of mine a silk pajama set and monogrammed them with their initials, and also bought each girl a piece of Kendra Scott jewelry. It wasn't super out of the box but they all liked them a lot

I bought my girls a stemless wine glass with their name on it (no bridesmaid label or anything), a sheet mask, Juvias Place eye shadow pallet that they would use, and a hair tie that matches out theme that is on a card that says "to have and to hold your hair back" to make it a little wedding-y.

Get them something not wedding related that fits their hobbies and interests. Is one into Harry Potter or Star Wars? Find a unique art piece on Etsy she would appreciate. If one is into baking, get a cookbook she'd love.

I'm getting my bridesmaids a few "common" gifts (tote bag, wine glass with their name etched on it, etc) and a few personalized gifts (gift cards to their favorite restaurant, items specific to each person, etc). I suggest avoiding anything that says "bridesmaid" on it. Get them something they can use again, and like others have suggested, shop for them like it's their birthday or Christmas.

We tailored our gifts to the individual, and nothing was branded with our wedding.

Some of the gifts *could* have been used at the wedding, but they didn't have to be.

    Treat it like a birthday/holiday.

Ok, so don't call me cheap. I asked 5 girls to be my BM with only a face mask, a lipstick and a card with detailed why I want them to be my BM. I figure if they say no, I won't be losing much as all these adds up. Once they said yes, I did buy A LOT of stuff for them. Out of the 5, 1 said no, so I replaced her. I got them tumblers, hangers, robes, and ring dish. I am also getting 1 more personal gift for them. Tumblers and hangers have their names, and ring dish has their initial. The robe is blank since I did hear that if they don't want it, they can donate it to Goodwill. However, if you have something personalized, even GoodWill won't take it.
