Bridesmaid "Proposal"

Ok so I know the whole asking your bridesmaid in a cute way is the new "trendy" thing to do. I'm kinda torn on this, just wanted to hear everyone's thoughts did you/didn't you do it, if you did how did you?

I hand painted boxes, this was the inside before I filled it with goodies! Wrote the poem myself, so it's kind of lame.

When I received my bridesmaids proposal from my cousin for her wedding I was so surprised and so excited that I had to do the same. I wanted them to feel the excitement I felt when I received my cute little proposal. I included tissues for happy tears, mini photo frames to personalize for each girl, pack of gum, hydrating chapstick and some booze of course. Hand delivered most of them and a couple I had to mail out. Usps was the best rate. I probably spent too much money but all these girls are super giving and were already planning fun pre wedding things even before I asked!

I scoured Etsy & found 3 different cards for each bridesmaid. Each one fit the girl's personality perfectly

I didn't do it because I actually received one from a friend but had to say no because I had a conflict the day of the wedding I hadn't really made known yet. I felt horrible because clearly she put a lot of time and at least a little money into it.

Mine was SO cheesy but I loved it. I "proposed" with ring pops. And it was awesome.

I did. Wedding paper divas had free bridesmaids cards, where you only paid the shipping. So I had the card, a bath bomb, foot and face mask, and a nail polish in one of our wedding colors. It was cute, not that expensive, and my two bridesmaids live 4-8 hours away from me so i thought it was nice for them to get a small gift in the mail.

I got some unfinished jewelry boxes from Hobby Lobby and painted them to match my wedding colors (hunter green & silver). Inside I put a bracelet for them to wear in the wedding (I'll have a matching one), and the date of the wedding for them to keep. I also am well-known for hating flowers, so I included a pine cone for a chuckleSmiley smile I printed off the question design from Pinterest for free too!

I am really wanting to make my bridesmaids something when I ask them! I have no idea what to do! I don't want anything too expensive just simple!

I gave them just regular pretty blank cards asking them and included a nice note about how much it would mean to me. I gave mini bottles of champagne and some mail polish. Nothing fancy, but a small gesture.

A lot of people roll their eyes at this and think it's 'over the top'. I think it's adorable and while completely unnecessary, a fun splurgey gift to get some wedding planning excitement out of your system!

I think some people may feel pressured to say yes, if they given a gift. Others may roll their eyes in private and think, my god, this woman is going to want showers, out of town bachelorette parties, etc., all paid for by bridesmaids.
