I like both, honestly. I've really only seen long but I wouldn't be opposed to short.

Long! I think short is too casual to stand next to a big, formal wedding gown.

Side note, the BM dress in the first pic is what I wore to my bach. Smiley smile

I wanted them to wear short dresses, since we're getting married in the summer, but they all wanted to wear long. They're wearing this dress from David's Bridal, their choice. I wanted them to choose different dresses, but they all agreed on this one. I think it will be flattering on all of them and love the back of it. I think it would've been cute in a short style too.

I love long. Not many occasions in life allow you the opportunity to get really dolled up so why not go all out for a wedding!

Long! One of my bridesmaids has psoriasis and her legs are the biggest problem area for her so she requested a long dress. Plus our venue is a bit too formal for shorter dresses.

Long! Besides being beautiful, I think it makes them stand out from guests.

Long! Looks more formal and is more flattering on everyone I think. It also helps the BMs stand out from other guests as PPs have stated.

I always thought I wanted short and then all of a sudden about a month ago, I switched to long. After looking at so many pictures, I decided I didn't like the look of short dresses next to a formal wedding gown. Long just look so much more elegant.

Long dresses. Short dresses seem way too summer casual.

I liked the idea of short just so they ladies could maybe wear them again. For me I'm always a bit sad I have zero occasion to ever wear the one bridesmaid gown I have again. Not mad of course. But also short is likely a bit cheaper too.

That being said, Im having a late Feb wedding in SC. It could be 75 and perfect for short... Or barely 60. So I don't know if I should factor weather in?

I'm going to disagree with everyone else. I vastly prefer short dresses as I think they are more versatile and fun! To each their own though.

I like either, but we went with a short/mid length.
