Brides wearing their hair down

I will be. I'm thinking of doing my trial this weekend, if my girl is free so I'll post pictures then.

I want a modern, slightly relaxed veronica lake look. Inspiration:

One of these, I can't decide. These are all pretty fabulous ladies!!!

Well I'll do one slightly better than trials or inspiration...this was on my actual wedding day! It's a little hard to see though, haven't gotten all our pictures back yet. Don't mind the pose on the first one, it was during my hula and I took a screen shot to just show a close-up of the hair.

This is what I like! The first picture for the reception. Second for the ceremony unless my hair holds like that very well during the trial I will just leave it.

I had mine down, but make sure they spray the hell out of it. Mine lasted until we got to the church and then the curls fell out and the hair became just wavy. I think my hair was my biggest disappointment (my regular hairdresser was getting divorced and she was my Matron of Honor's sister in law - long story).

TKD I have that same inspiration pinned. Along with this one. Found my hair stylist yesterday! Can't wait to do a trial!

I wore mine down with loose waves/curls

Anyone have any tried and true remedies to get it to stay curled? I know salon quality stuff and irons are better but my inspiration looks like many of the ones here and my curls usually fall flat this time of year after about 2 hours.

@Jessi-- my hair never stayed curled... The curling iron I have is amazing!! It's called Sedu Revolution Clipless Curling Iron. I know you weren't looking for irons, but it's seriously amazing. Also, as soon as I curl a piece, I scrunch it back up in my hand until it cools and then I let it fall-- it's helped keep my curls longer.

@jessi - They put mousse in my hair when it was dry and then blow dried it. And once they curled it they pinned them to let them cool. Plus they put a ton of hair spray in there.

Just a friendly reminder that most inspiration pics on pinterest do use extensions! I have some and love them, but decided to wear my hair up

@Jen101 that's my inspiration picture too! Did my make up and hair trial last week and love it so much. Although I did tell her to spray the hell out of it to make the curls keep longer. Also, I've been growing my hair all year just for the wedding so it's long enough to pull off this look now.

I tried doing mine for my trial and considering I curled it 15 minutes before i left, i'm definitely confident I can do it myself for the wedding. I just need to pin curl it the night before to get better waves and of course my hair is much thinner than the inspiration pic but that's the overall look I want.
