Big Boobs Strapless Wedding Gown?

LadyWatson, on January 21, 2017 at 3:24 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 32

Hello Ladies;

My wedding dress is being made ($450.00) plus $50 shipping! I made a deposit to start making the dress Thursday. Today, I sent my mother a picture of my dress and she said " your boobs" are going to fall out! I'm a 42-44DD in bra size! Now, I just want to cancel my dress and go into a store. Would a strapless bra work if I don't cancel this order? If I did cancel I'll receive $100 back! My deposit was $250.00 Thanks in advance

Alterations will make the dress fit you perfectly so it doesn't slip or fall down.

If you do go the strapless bra route, Soma has an amazing one that can even be worn day to day. (I'm a DDD and am actually wearing mine right now!)

I think as long as the measurements are correct you'd be okay? I really don't know though because I definitely do not have big boobs.

Have you tried the dress or similar styles on?

Strapless dresses can work for people with larger busts as long as they fit correctly. You might need to get some alterations done after the dress arrives.

Are you opposed to adding straps? My boobs are not huge (C ) but I worried mine would fall out of my strapless dress so I has straps added. Back view

My dress is strapless and I wear the same size bra. I think you would be fine.

Properly fitted strapless gowns will stay up, no matter your bra size.

I'm going strapless and I'm a 38DDD. Mine has a corset back. Not sure if that makes a difference in fit.

If its altered to fit you properly they won't fall out. My consultant said it should fit you in your waist area and not allow movement of the top boob part. I was set on getting a dress with straps because of that reason, but tried on a strapless dress and was sold. It felt very comfortable and I felt secure.

Some strapless dresses have a very low top - and can be tougher for larger chests to fit into properly - while others are made to fit over a larger chest. If the person making the dress is skillful, and can make the chest portion large enough to actually cover you, and it is fitted properly, then strapless can completely work and be beautiful!

I wear a 36J bra and I'm wearing a strapless dress! I have no worries about it falling down on me, because it's going to be fit to my specific chest. Here's a pic of my giant gals in my dress! Don't let your mom bring you down, you rock the hell out of your strapless dress!

I'm a 42 DD and I totally rocked my strapless dress. I just made sure I got the right bra to wear under it.

Strapless should have boning that fits around the hips, and goes up under the bust, which means it can't fall down. (Your hips are supporting it.) If the dress is not constructed that way, you need a long-line strapless bra that is. With that, you should be fine.

I'm still deciding between the pic at top and this one!

As long as the dress is altered to fit you, it's fine. A seamstress told me she could put some "boobies" inside the dress. I'm a 38DD. I didn't want a strapless but it's definitely doable with the right alterations.

Talisha, my mom is the same. Sometimes, you have to shake it off and go with what you want? Your dress is beautiful.
