Best wedding month for Florida

Odesha, on February 2, 2016 at 8:56 PM Posted in Planning 0 25

I am trying to decide which month i should get married in 2017. Which month is the best to get married in Florida? I don't want it too hot and I don't want it too cold, nor too rainy. Help!

We're getting married in Destin during October next year. We often visit there in October and its beautiful weather every time we go!

Yes, I'm in Panama City Beach and October is gorgeous. March-May are nice as well.

October! That was my original month I was getting married, but I moved it up a month. The weather won't be too or cold, and also it won't be rainy. October is a lovely month. Im getting married in Orlando.

I'm getting married in July in S. FL which is a very unpopular month. I waited until the last minute on a lot things and still didn't have any issues with vendors being booked and got a lot of good deals since it is the off season. But we are doing everything indoors - too hot to even consider doing it out doors I feel.

@Phoebe Yes we had considered July too because it was an off season month but I really want a beach side ceremony and I knew July would be way too hot for that!

Mid-March through mid-April is gorgeous, lots of blooms. mid-October through mid-December is nice too!

Avoid June-September like the plague, and if you want to do an outdoor beach ceremony, nix most of October too - it's great pool weather, but you'll broil on those sands.

I think we're looking at June 1 for ours, but we're needing to plan around school scheduled as well.

I'm in South Florida and we're doing October, but from October-February you can get some gorgeous weather.

We were going to do October lolz, but alas, grad school. Instead, our wedding is in December! It's early enough that it's still considered "off season". Depending on where you are it won't be very cold at all no matter what lolz. We're in Northern Central FL.

Having grown up in Florida my opinion is end of February to beginning/mid April or October. February to April is cool but just beginning to warm up with not much rain and October is cooling down with generally/rarely ever any rain.

I'm getting married in the end of this month, if the weather stay this way it will be perfect if it cools down a bit were renting heaters! As long as there's no rain I'll take it.

It depends on WHERE in FL. The state is 8 hours long.... so you can have a range of temps from month to month.

I am partial to mid-central on the gulf side and I would say end of March - the first week of May or October into November. December was lovely here and yesterday was fantastic.

I am in Tampa for a point of reference.

We are getting married at the very end of February in central FL. I think the weather will be perfect for our outdoor ceremony and reception. We have secured a tent in case of rain. We wanted it to be before the Pollen Armageddon that plagues me in mid-March. FH also wanted to get married before it got to be too hot.

I've lived here for 35 years and have officiated over 1,000 beach weddings. March & April are usually beautiful, May is sometimes getting hot. July, Aug. & Sept. are hot & humid. October (when we got married) and Nov. are usually very nice. Here we get afternoon thunderstorms June-Oct., so I schedule the beach weddings for shortly before sunset to avoid the rain (only about 1% of my wedding have been rained out in the last 25 years). Dec. & Jan. & sometimes Feb. can be a bit chilly (especially if you're a Floridian!). There is usually a breeze at the beach -- which is welcome in the summer and not so welcome in the winter.
