It would make me really nervous for someone to try to surprise me with something like this. My life is hectic, especially trying to plan a wedding. What if you have other commitments at said time?? It would drive me nuts knowing it was coming and being afraid to schedule any serious commitments! But it seems sweet of them to try to make it special by surprising you.

I've been getting a lot of ads on Facebook for cute white dresses at shopimpressions.com. I haven't actually purchased anything from there yet though. The only thing about ordering a dress online is it might not come in time since you don't know the date. I would just give your MOH the dress you're wearing in your avatar.

My coworker did this too! She bought a dress and gave to her MOH. I would try lulus for sure!! Others- Francesca's, pink lily, rent the runway (I rented mine)

It's not that weird. It's hard to explain in a forum. I have two close friends that are planning mine. We set a date we're all off of work and a location so I know where and when to show up but I have no clue about who else they're inviting or food/entertainment, etc. Maybe some people are rude in how they asked because they're stressed out? Lol.

This might seem sad, but everyone I hang out with would've at my shower and would probably come up with an excuse of why they can't make plans with me and I'll be left alone, only to find it's because my shower is that day.

Plus I don't do much.

Along with I usually tell my mom my plans all the time and she's also steer me away from plans on the day of the shower.

So yes, they could keep mine a secret without me knowing the date/time
