Also, if it's supposed to be a surprise wouldn't they just expect you to wear whatever you were wearing that day?

I don't know when the event is because I have nothing to do with it. Obviously I know there's a shower, that part isn't a surprise. But when, where, how, what is all a surprise because it's being thrown for me without me. Why is this something to criticize?
