Best pens/markers to use for wood welcome sign?

Our sign will be stained gray. Can anyone recommend the best pen for signing? Something that you have used that didn't bleed?

    White or metallic sharpies could possibly work without bleeding too much.

    I ordered a wooden sign for our guests to sign from Etsy. The seller recommended the metallic Sharpies.

    Papermate Flair Pens! They bled way less than sharpies.

    I love this welcome sign! A great alternative to a guest book!

    It could be a great idea to reach out to the seller and see what pens/markers they would recommend for writing on the sign. As they're most familiar with the product, I'm sure they would have some suggestions!
