Best Man Drama

Our Best Man is my FH's best friend. We're having a smaller wedding (110) and he insists he has a plus 1. Best Man is not in a relationship and when asked who he wants to bring responds with "I don't know yet"... The girls he does date are trashy and unfriendly. (it's just the truth) Any advise?

    I agree, giving the BM a plus one seems like a small compromise. He has a pretty important role and I think you should accommodate him. It seems fair to me.

    Everyone is the bridal party should get a +1. I have a few friends not in relationships (at the moment - who knows what will change) but regardless they will all have a plus one.

    I can't keep all the double-ring posters with the same name straight. Is this the Annie that's my best friend?!?!

    BP should be given dates. My "advise" is to let him bring whomever he wants. You should be way too busy enjoying your wedding day to give a shit about people's dates to begin with.

    Hmm is this best man paying for his attire? Hotel room? Planning a bachelor party? Making a speech? These things cost time and money.

    Regardless if he does ALL of that you're asking him to go out of his way to stand by you on your wedding day. The least you could do is let him bring a date regardless if she is a walking talking STD.
