I originally wanted my hair up, but now I am wondering if it would look better down. Thoughts and opinions! Thanks!

I don't think your hairstyle should depend on your dress. Unless there is something extremely unique that would affect choice of hairstyle. I honestly can't of anything. My dress was a strapless ballgown with a sweetheart neckline. I feel like I could have worn my hair up, down, or half and it would have been fine. Its more important to find what looks right with your face shape and what you're comfortable with.

I am struggling with this so much. I just can't decide!

I think I'm going to go with half up/down. The one time I had my hair in an updo, I was miserable. I think I am suppressing the memory of that pain because I'm still considering it for my own wedding. I have a lot of hair and it starts to hurt when it's up for too long.

    I'm 95% sure I'm going with half up/down.

I think hair up looks more formal and nice. Also it is much cooler(that is why I went with it) plus my hair looses it curl the minute I get hot and start to sweat, like when you are dancing.

Up! I wear my hair down practically every day and when else can I wear a fancy updo?

What does your hair look like? Does it curl well and hold a curl well? What's your dress look like?

I'm doing half up...I am worried about potential back acne and wish to keep it covered a bit...and potential "back butt" caused by my strapless, corseted gown.

I've worn my hair down as a bridesmaid before and totally regretted it. I have thick hair so I thought it would hold and be great. Boy, was I wrong. It was windy and humid that day, and before the reception even began my hair was a hot mess.

    Up for me.

I wore mine up. My hair is too damn long to leave down. It was also really hot that day, and I'm glad it was up off my neck. Hair down would've made me feel much hotter.

I'm doing mine up simply because I get so hot with it covering my neck (it's down to my bra strap). Mine also tends to look stringy after a few hours down, no matter how much or little styling product is in it.

I was struggling with this too but am leaning towards down. .. one my hair is super thick and curly. ... it gets heavy and two I'll be dancing alot and it will most definitely fall if done up. Plus I hate my arms and my long hair will hide some of that ... not to mention if I have back acne. . It will cover that tooo. .... hahaha @Ostricher

Wearing my hair up. I was considering wearing it down, as I wear it in a bun or ponytail almost daily but I want to dance and have fun and don't want a super sweaty neck.

I have super straight hair that just goes past my shoulders, and I just assumed I'd wear my hair up, because there are so many gorgeous updos out there. But at each dress fitting, I tried my hair up and down, took pics, and looking back, it just wasn't flattering with my hair up. Try playing with it to see what works best with your face.

I did half up and half down Smiley smile Its a great medium. I really hate how I look with hair completely up, I like my hair down (normally wear it down)

At first I wanted to wear mine down, but my hair is really long and won't hold a curl well in the humidity. We're also having our ceremony in a big, old, non air conditioned church. I decided it will likely be too hot and I've officially decided up.

I'm going to wear mine up. It doesn't hold a curl for the life of it so my hair would be flat by the end of the night.

Hmm...totally depends on your dress, feel, location, weather and hair accessories. For instance, if you're having a heavy clip or long veil, an updo will give more of an anchor for them. Updos are also better for windy or humid days. Down is better for warmth, very light hair accessories, and a more romantic feel, or neck/chest coverage.

I had my hair/MUA do both, and we'll decide on the day which to go with.

I think it will depend on the dress and the weather.

I'm totally wearing it down. I have decent hair. When I'm old it won't look like it does now...so it'll be down for the wedding! Plus I look better with it down haha.

I will be wearing mine half down because I never wear it up.
