I absolutely love looking back at pictures of my dress. However, the one downside is that I don't have many pictures of my dress without a belt. I specifically told the consultant that I wasn't interested in wearing a belt with my wedding dress (I've never been one to look great with a belt around...

I absolutely love looking back at pictures of my dress. However, the one downside is that I don't have many pictures of my dress without a belt. I specifically told the consultant that I wasn't interested in wearing a belt with my wedding dress (I've never been one to look great with a belt around my waist because of my shape). When I fell in love with this dress, the consultant immediately tried to add accessories to make me feel like a bride and the belt was something she kept insisting on. I don't think I want to get a belt because I don't want it to take away from the dress (especially the buttons down the back) but I'd be interested in some opinions! How do all you ladies feel about wearing a belt with your wedding dress? Did anyone feel pressured into getting a belt? Which do you think looks nicer with my dress?

    That belt is beautiful with the dress, it pulls it together and really flatters your shape which is gorgeous. Try on a few different ones with it.

    My dress didn't need a belt but I wanted one anyway for a tiny bit of bling in front because most of the bling was in the straps on the low back.

    No belt. That dress is gorgeous and in my opinion it takes away from the dress instead of adding to it.

    I'm on the same damn boat. I felt pressured to get a belt. And I got a very thick jeweled one. Now that I been over thinking it and imagining it since I have no pictures, I feel like I might not even want the damn belt. I tried it on with a zipper back and I'm having it made corset so idk how that will even look. As soon as My dress gets here I will post pictures and see what u guys think. ... but about yours, I like it without the belt, ur dress looks beautiful and the belt does seem to take away from it IMO.

    I vote no belt, it distracts the eye from the detail on the chest, which is my favorite part!

    I like the photo without the belt better. I don't like the belt you have on...maybe a different one, something more delicate, if you end up deciding to go that route? But honestly, I think your dress looks absolutely gorgeous on you without it!

    I like it better without, but I'm in the minority here. You look more elongated without it, plus I feel like since you have the high neckline the belt makes it too busy. But idk. Pick what you feel most comfortable with though!

    I'm team no belt. I love the simple beauty of your dress. I personally am not one for bling so that's probably why but honestly it looks good both ways. What's most important is how you truly feel. If your gut is saying no belt then no belt it is

    Personally, I like the belt (in the front pictures, but not the back). If they shorten the ends of the belt in the back so as to not take away from how pretty the back looks, then great.

    If you want it, get it, if you don't, then don't. You'll look beautiful either way.

    The belt gives the dress some shape on you. Also the belt can be sewn into the dress stopping before the buttons in the back.
