I planned almost everything and then we hired a day of coordinator to ensure things ran smoothly. It’s definitely doable, but not for everyone. If you like planning, organizing, and details, I would say do it!

View Quoted Comment I was fortunate enough to use a long time family friend who is in the wedding planning business. She is up North and planned everything though I am in LA. She was superb!

I'm doing most of my own planning. I've always been a planner, so this is something I really enjoy doing despite the stress of it all plus working a busy job full-time. We did get a day-of coordinator to handle things on our wedding day though because I want to be able to fully enjoy the day rather than worry about vendors being on time, set up, etc.

Me!! Our wedding is going to be super small (18 guests) so it is not too bad and my fiance and his family have been helping out a lot. For some of the small details, it might be nice to have an experienced coordinator to help out but overall it's not too bad. I keep reminding myself that the small details are not the things I will be remembering 10 years from now!

View Quoted Comment I feel ya girl! I'm stressed and my wedding preparing had just begun. I'm getting married October 21 2023 and I'm just really for this to be over with. But I am totally excited to be able to plan for this wonderful memory that I'm about to make.

I am planning my own wedding with my mom. I am getting married Oct 2022. My job keeps me busy quite a bit so thankfully my mom has been a big help in the planning. It can be stressful at times but it's nice to know I have my mom helping me because she understands what I do like and she has more time to follow up on things for me when I am extra busy. It's a lot of work but it is nice getting to do this with my mom. On the flip side, it also saves me some money lol......the key is to have a good planner to use, write things down no matter how minor you think they may be, and write down every thought that comes to your mind because you think you will remember.....TRUST ME.....ya won't. Keep up with any and everything you purchase because it's so easy to forget you already purchased something lol....my mom is guilty of that hehe!!
