This made me laugh. Made me think of something my mom said while I was looking for a venue.

"If you aren't going to give me a church wedding, at least don't make me attend a barn wedding!"

I'd have to say out, especially if you're using it as a trend. Now, if there's a connection to your life or perhaps you chose it because it was easier on your wallet, then sure! I'm personally not a fan of the rustic barnyard trend, but would much prefer the modern barnyard look haha

If it goes with the style of your wedding, then I don't see a problem with it. There are many beautiful barns.

I wanted nothing to do with anything rustic for our wedding. It's just not my style.

Ooh, I think that's really interesting, EllieRose. I feel like a lot of people imagine places like barns as their venues and then end up at churches. Are you having all of your wedding at the church or are you going somewhere else for the reception?

I'm a Pastor's Kid so there was never any questions as to whether or not it would be in the church! I'll be the fourth generation of my mom's family to be married in our church! We are having the reception elsewhere! An all inclusive venue was ideal and while the church ladies can put on a mean dinner we opted for something a little more formal!

Not my style but I am in for it because they are rustic romantic! Or country, so many options, very transitional

This was our first choice but it didn't work out. Simple yet beautiful.

Definitely an IN. Barn weddings are outstandingly gorgeous. They have the rustic feel and you can also have that elgant touch to it as well.

Depends on the couple; for me personally, no. We’re getting married at a rustic-barn feeling venue though :-/

It's a combo! So the indoor space has a ballroom and a foyer. The outdoors has a garden, patios & water fountains! I actually found it here on Wedding Wire. I wanted something unique and was able to find it using WW site . It's called The Spring House Smiley smile

I don't think this one will ever look dated. But it's probably dying out as a "trend".... personally though I think if it fits your style & vibe, do it!!

Before I was getting married at my in-laws house, my fiancé and I were totally going to do a barn/cabin wedding!

In for me, we chose a barn because we are much more casual type people. We live in the country and own chickens! But it is odd when people do it that are totally not that type of people.
