Backyard wedding needs

Tiaona, on March 9, 2020 at 8:18 PM Posted in Planning 1 5
Hey everyone! We’re still figuring out a specific date but looking into late August or September of 2021 for our wedding. We have a tentative guest list of about 100 people and aren’t wanting to add too much more. I have family who has a very large property with a pond and big yards. They already have tables and chairs (maybe for 80ish people) so I won’t have to rent too many more. I also have family members who have large party tents that we can borrow. My fiancé’s family will be cooking to represent their cultural food. I’m just trying to get some info/advice that anyone is able to give for backyard and DIY weddings! Thanks in advance!

Probably port a potties and tents and outside end of summer can be humid. Can you buy industrial fans and those candles to keep bugs away. Maybe have some outdoor games and possibly a floor for dancing?

My step mom pretty much planned her entire wedding herself and DIY’d almost everything! She got married on my grandparents farm and had a honey do list 3+ pages long to prepare the house and land for the event. I wish I knew more about how exactly she planned it. I’m sure being organized is #1 and Pinterest would be your right hand.

also, one tip that I’ve heard from other brides is that a lot of people sell wedding decor on Facebook market since they don’t have much use for them afterwards.
Good luck & congratulations! I wish you nothing but the best!

Porta pottys or porta trailers are a must, have a rain plan! String some lights up for when it gets dark out, provide big spray or sun tan lotion for people
