Bachelorette Party Gifts

Kim, on May 19, 2013 at 11:58 AM Posted in Planning 0 11

I've seen a lot of posts regarding wedding party gifts. Are any of you doing Bachelorette Party gifts? I've seen matching shirts/tanks, koozies, flasks, etc. Does the bride do this as a thank you for coming or does the people hosting the party purchase these items? And, will you be doing this??

If they want, the people hosting can do this, but they don't have to. Me, personally I prefer not being forced to wear shirts or boas or penis necklaces etc at these sorts of things.

My bachelorette is a secret from me. lol so I have no clue. But I as the bride am already proving them awesome gifts just a week later. I'm not going to give them junk they won't keep. If the host wants to do that, great.

I don't think it's the bride's responsibility to do anything for the bachelorette party -- it should be the bridesmaids who do that kind of stuff. If the bride wants matching shirts or something she can do them herself, though, or hint to the bridesmaids about them. I think it's more the MOH or bridesmaids who do this kind of stuff as a thank you for all the other girls for coming. I think the bachelorette party is similar to a bridal shower in that the hosts are responsible for all the food and favors. I am MOH for a wedding next month and we just had the bachelorette party. I bought the party necklaces for the girls, bought all the alcohol/snacks, bought all the sashes and stuff for the bride, and also bought Ring Pops as mini favors for the girls who came. The bride kept asking if she wanted me to have her do anything, but I think it is her night to relax and she should be showered by her bridesmaids.

Yea, those throwing it do all that. I had mine last night, and all I told them was I wanted no penises, lol. I got a shot glass on a lanyard, that said "bride to be" which I just handed the bartender to get a shot, lol. And a tiara, and a big "bride" button and sash and some fuzzy handcuffs, and a little book with 365 sex positions (graphically demonstrated).

Lol you can give them ideas, but you may not know when they are throwing the party. So you buy it, they kidnap you to take you to the party and thoses will get left at home.

We are going to a hotel to hang out by the pool for a weekend so as a thank you for planning it, I got the girls beach bags that I filled with a wet bikini bag, beach towel, their favorite candy, koozie, reusable cup, sunscreen and a water bottle.

I figured since they were paying for everything, I'd give a little thank you gift.

Your Bachelorette party is all about you and having a great time with your girls. The rehearsal dinner is your time to say thank you.

I want to get my girls something. They are all spending a lot of money and time/effort to take me to Chicago, so I was thinking about getting personalized tumblers. All my bridesmaids and one friend are coming, so I just wanted to do something to show how appreciative I am. We are renting a trolley and I figured they could use them on their so their drinks don't spill on their dresses. Here's a link to the one I am thinking about. http://www.etsy.com/listing/129499194/set-of-6-personalized-bride-bridesmaid?ref=sr_gallery_12&ga_search_query=tumbler&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_page=11&ga_search_type=all&show_panel=true

Megan...I actually have those pinned on one of my boards! I was thinking BP gift but I love this idea even more as my party will be a day out on the boat and then hitting some local bars that evening. We will use them alot more at the bach party than the wedding.
