Andy and I have known each other all our lives... We grew up together in a little village, and we were friends (and sometimes frenemies) all the way through school. We started dating right before our high school graduation. We then went on to different colleges, but visited each other often. After working for 2 years and getting on our feet as real world adults, Andy proposed one night after taking me to dinner at a nice restaurant across the lake that my parents live on. During the boat ride home he stopped the boat to "swim," but then turned around holding the ring in his hand and got down on one knee. He then pulled out a chilled bottle of wine that we bought shortly after we turned 21 but had never opened because we were saving it for a special occasion. Calling him my best friend doesn't make sense... he is much more than that, and I honestly can't imagine one day of my life without him.
