August Brides - are you keeping your wedding date?

Well I moved my 5/9 wedding to 8/1, so sure as hope to keep my August wedding!

Mine is September so a month after you. My shower might need to be moved to August is the only thing since we were planning on having it in June. So what I did was all my shower guests know about my shower in June but I have told them that depending on what happens we are delaying the invites (we were going to send them in April) until we have word that we can have a gathering of over 20 at a restaurant. Otherwise we will plan to have the shower in August but it will happen. Everyone is totally understanding.

We are getting married in August and hoping everything will be okay by then! We are waiting before making any decisions.

August 1st bride and I’m not making any decisions until end of June. A lot can change in the next 5 months. Hoping this will all be more controlled by then.

Regardless of the current situations...we are still getting married on August 22, whether it i just us and the officiant and witnesses or if we are able to have larger gatherings by then. If we can't have a large gathering, then we'll move the reception to a different date. That's just a party. We can party any time.

Hi Ashley! I really hope August will be safe for you, but it is smart to be considering your options now just in case. Review your contracts, be communicative with your vendors, and maybe share some ideas with other August couples - August 2020 Brides, I need you!

View Quoted Comment Thanks everyone!! I did call the venue and vendors and they agreed that we can change the date once without any financial repercussions. They were very understanding of the circumstances. My fiance and I will reevaluate mid-end of April.
