Savvy June 2022

Hi!

I officially made the decision to postpone last week. I just do not foresee things getting better in my state. Things are unfortunately still very strict. I was REALLY REALLY sad and disappointed.

My bridal shower and bachelorette didn't seem likely that they would happen so I decided to postpone to July 31, 2021. A WHOLE YEAR basically. If I'm gonna get married I want ALL the celebrations that come with it.

BUT I am happy to announce I will be getting married July 31, 2020. An elopement ceremony with just me and fiance and our pastor in Malibu. We decided a super intimate elopement to save some magic for our actual wedding. I want our family and friends to soak in the moment just once and not see me walk down the aisle twice LOL does that make sense? Idk, it was my way of keeping the magic/intimacy for my big wedding Smiley smile

Anyway! Im curious- August brides how's it going for you???

Mine is Aug 30th and the FH and I are waiting until mid June to decide what to do. We're in NY and had it the worst of anywhere yet, we just started reopening in some parts of the state. I think thats a good sign. Our venue is hopeful that by Mid-July or beginning of August they will be up and running with new guidelines. Im sure its a relief to know that you dont need to worry tho! The stress is awful..

My fiancé and I are getting married August 15, and we don’t plan on postponing. We did cancel Bach parties and bridal shower and we are probably going to cut our guest list (originally 165+) depending on how things are looking in the next month. Either way I am kind of excited to have a smaller wedding, I think it will still be fun and we will save money! Smiley smile
