Hi I'm new too this site but I feel like you should ask them as soon as you know the date of your big day.

For starters, make sure your date is actually set before you ask anybody. You don't want to ask with an open-ended date, only to find that they can't do it. I asked all four of my bridesmaids when we were eight months out from the wedding. They all had their dresses within a month.

My wedding is March 14, I asked back in June. I just had a hard time picking with so many family members. Everything seemed to work out fine. Here is one of the proposal boxes which includes a Rose, STD cookie, a “Wedding Day” Candle, wine glass and mini bottle of wine

The fiance wanted 3 people. BF, Brother and Cousin. I duplicated the same thing on my side. They kind of knew I would ask them when I got engaged on NYE, but I made it official this month by sending them customized cards.

As soon as you find out your getting married

The sooner the better! I made a semi big deal about how I asked. I wanted them to feel special.

I asked immediately (15 months out) and like PP, I didn’t make a show of it. I asked in person or over Skype and thinks have gone smoothly. But a lot of people have issues with their bridal parties, especially people that ask early so it may be easier to ask a year or 10 months out.

So we got engaged 5/2018. I asked my girls at our engagement party 8/2019 with proposal boxes, groomsmen had boxes too. We did it big! Lol They were so excited & honored. I worked on those with help for about 6-7 months. Groomsmen boxes were ordered at last minute off of ESTY.com. He seen my boxes & wanted to copy!!! Lol

I just asked a month after my engagement

My goal is to ask girls about a year out! They don’t need to be worried about it any earlier but I still want them to have time to prepare financially, block some dates off, and spread information out to them.
