As a bridesmaid, what would you be comfortable wearing at a salon to get ready.

2018wedding, on February 13, 2018 at 2:50 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 23

We are getting ready at a salon. What would you be comfortable wearing.

I am thinking of long sleeve/pants pajama set. Would you be okay wearing that?

We will be in a private section of salon.

I know it isn't required but I am curious.

If you’re going to a salon to get ready, please just let them wear whatever they own that they’re comfortable in.

Yeah, private or not, I wouldn't be comfortable to get out and about in pjs. I'm not someone to stay in pjs all day.

I would honestly feel weird about wearing pajamas out to a public place, even if you will be in a private section of the salon. I agree, have them wear what they want otherwise I'd suggest doing like a button down and let them choose the pants.

In a salon, I'd rather wear my own jeans and my own button down shirt. I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing pajamas in public unless I'm going to Walmart, and even then, by pajamas, I mean sweatpants or yoga pants and a t-shirt and sweatshirt, not actual pajamas.

Yes. I was thinking of button down shirt. But I can’t think of them using the shirt again. I personally don’t we’re button down shirts. I guess I can just tell them to bring one they already have.

Hmmmm I don't think I'd be okay wearing PJ's to a salon. I understand its a private area but that means I would either have to make my way to the place wearing them or changing as I got there. Seems to be a lot of work for photo prop (sorry, that is what it is). If you absolutely need them to match, maybe look at matching button downs and have them wear leggings or same color bottoms. I was forced to wear some bride tribe tank top for a wedding "getting ready" session. The photographer never took one pic of us as a group and we were all cold most of the day.

My girls are getting ready at the venue. But I'm giving them button up flannels and asking if they would wear black pants (leggings, sweats, whatever they are comfortable with). My mom is going to be wearing the shirt and jeans since she will be helping set up. Maybe go with a shirt that is the same for everyone and ask about wearing a specific color of pants. Or just go with the shirt so you all still look like a group.

If you're getting ready in a public place, please just let them wear whatever they want to get ready in. A private hotel room is different than a private section in a public salon.

I wouldn't wear pajamas in public. It's just not me.

It's one step up from those skimpy, too short robes, but still obviously prioritizing the pics.

What about leggings or yoga pants and a button down? That way it is clothing but comfortable

For my sister in laws wedding we all just wore leggings or jeans and we had t-shirts that said bride tribe on them and hers obviously said bride. I’m personally doing flannel button ups for myself and my daughters who are my flower girls that will say “bride” and “flower girl” on them.

I don't get very self conscious about clothes, so I would be okay in pajamas, sweats, whatever. A bikini if no one is watching.

That being said, it's for my own laziness, not to look cute. It might feel weird to wear matching pajamas for the sole purpose of taking photos. My own ratty old pjs, now we're talking. It wouldn't be my preference, but I also wouldn't complain if a friend gifted something like that.

There isn't going to be a photographer there, I just liked the idea.

But you guys confirmed what been on the back of my mind. I am gonna go with a flannel shirt (they may or may not wear again) and whatever bottom.
