Are you wearing a blusher?

Katelyn, on August 30, 2019 at 9:11 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 12

I have always known I would wear a blusher on my wedding day. I find them extremely romantic and it creates a very intimate and special moment.

However, I am not sure who I want to lift my blusher. I have always imagined it to be my husband that lifts it from my face when it is time for our kiss. But I have also heard of the father lifting it when you get to the end of the aisle so he can give you a kiss on the cheek and give you away.

If you are wearing a blusher, who will be lifting it from your face and when?

If you aren't wearing a blusher, will you still be wearing a veil as an accessory?

I am wearing a veil, but no blusher. If I was to wear one, I would have my dad lift it before the ceremony. I wouldn't want to wear it for 30ish minutes and it can distort your face in photos.

Agree with PP, not wearing a blusher myself but would have my dad lift it when we get to the end of the aisle.

Agreed! Our ceremony was about 30 minutes and it would have driven me crazy to have something covering my face that whole time.

No blusher for me either. They're pretty, but I don't like the feeling of something over my face

You could have your dad lift it to kiss you, and put it back down for your fiance to lift at the end of the ceremony.

I'm wearing a blusher. I'm wearing it all throughout the ceremony until my husband lifts it up to kiss me.

I'm wearing a blusher at the request of my FH. Having said that, he will be the one to lift it at the end of the ceremony since he he really wants that experience. I personally don't mind if it distorts my face in those picture because there will be others taken post removal of the blusher in the my face.

I didn’t originally want to wear a blusher but my mom has had her heart set on me wearing one my whole life, so I’m going to wear one to make her happy. I will only be wearing to walk down the aisle.

FH is actually expecting this so I am wearing one. He would also be the one to lift it at the end of the ceremony.

I wore a blusher and my brother walked me down the aisle, so he kissed me on the cheek, and then H lifted my blusher so that I could *see* during the ceremony.

I will be wearing a blusher. For my sister who just told me last night she'd live to see me have this moment. My sister is like a second mother 8 yrs older and has helped my mom raise me. She doesn't really like my dress because it's wild to her traditional vibes. But she is so happy for me and I will have a veil moment 4 her.
